We were thrilled with our Beignet x Pete puppies. It was a tough decision on which puppy to keep, as they were all beautiful babies.
We usually keep girls, but decided to keep a boy this time. As his father's name is Ch. Annual's Pop Star, we named our boy Millab's Rock Star. We call him Jagger. This was his first "show" and Jagger baby turned out to be a rock star for sure! This was a fun match hosted by the Fort Lauderdale Dog Club, and he won best baby puppy in the match!
Jagger's Judges were Hector Hector for Best of Breed & Sporting Group, and Mara Powell & Leanne Hugg for Best in Match.

Baby Jagger wasn't able to get a lot of training or socializing during COVID, so we were thrilled when he won Best in Match! It was great to see his tail wagging, even though this was all new to him. Can't wait to see what the future holds for this special boy.
Health & Certifications
OFA Certifications - Hips
All our dogs have their hips & elbows x-rayed and certified by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) before we even think about breeding them. This is not a guarantee that every pup's hips & elbows will be free of dysplasia, but the chances of having healthy, sound puppies are greatly increased by breeding only dogs with OFA certifications. OFA Certifications - Elbows
ps areiHHips fall into seven different categories: Excellent, Good, Fair (all within Normal limits), Borderline, and then Mild, Moderate, or Severe (the last three considered Dysplastic). On the other hand, Elbows are rated Normal or Abnormal (dysplastic). Elbow dysplasia is classified as Grades I, II or III. We would only breed a dog with a Normal rating.
Eye Certifications
PRA, Progressive Retinal Atrophy is an inherited eye disease that causes degeneration of the retina, causing dogs to go blind at an early age. Our dogs are tested by a board certified ophthalmologist to make sure they show no signs of PRA.
Heart Certification
Our dogs are checked for heart murmurs. A breed registry number will be issued for any dog found to be free from any congenital cardiac disease at 12 months of age or older. The exam must include auscultation.

Pete is a beautiful Swedish Import visiting Kendall Herr's Dickendall Labradors in Texas. He's returning to Sweden in April 2020.
Pete finished his U.S. Championship
in 3 weekends with 4 majors.

Beignet gave us 6 beautiful puppies on February 8th. These pups go back on both parents sides to Dickendall Labradors. It brings some new blood in from Sweden, and some very exciting BISS (Best in Specialty) Winners, such as BISS Ch. Wit's End Jacks or Better at Blackwing. Jacks is OFA Excellent and won BOB at the Heart of Texas Specialty show in 2012. He won WD at Labrador Specialties at Coastal Carolina, Dallas Fort-Worth, the Piedmont and more. BISS CH. Blackwing Superfine is a multi-specialty winning dog who has produced multiple BISS progeny. These pups also go back to some Sandylands & Jayncourt dogs. We are so excited about the future of these babies!

We were very excited about this litter, as it was a line breeding going back to Ch. Dickendall Arnold and Am. Eng. Ch. Receiver of Cranspire. It's unusual to see "Rever" so few generations back, as he would typically be much farther removed. But Teddy's breeder Sharon Parr, had the foresight to freeze semen from Ch. Delight Bear De Menthe, a Receiver Grandson. On our girl's side, this is our 10th generation of Millab Labradors, which we are very proud of.
